MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR: MARCH 14, 2009, 7:00PM

We are extremely proud to announce our studio's participation in "Dancing with Vero's Stars", a Fundraiser for the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. Our area's very own local stars will pair up with the area's best dancers for a true 'Dancing with the Stars' style dance off to support a very special cause in our own community.

Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. guarantees all women have access to prenatal care and that all infants have access to services that promote optimal growth and development. The goal is healthy moms and babies! 

Our studio will be represented by Joe Wynes dancing the waltz with his star partner, Laura Kelley. Laura is the Program Director for the Lifelong Learning Institute at Indian River State College. Joe and Laura are currently working hard to perfect their routine for the show which will be held on March 14th at the Elks Lodge in Vero Beach. They want to impress the judges and the audience, but in order to win they will need YOUR votes and donations!

Here is how you can vote:

1. Click on the Dancing with Vero Stars logo (above). This will take you to the special website that the coalition has set up for this event.

2. Once you are on the website click on the "Star Dancers" tab.

3. Click on the "Donate" button for Laura Kelley. Her individual online donation form will then appear.

3. Follow the instructions to make your donation either by a credit card or PayPal.

$1.00 = 1 vote

75% of our score will be based on the total dollars raised.

Donations and Ticket purchases both go towards our score.

Friday Night Group Classes

The atmosphere is always fun and friendly! Meet new friends and have fun learning to dance at the Friday Night Dance Classes at the Sebastian Community Center.

January 2nd and 9th

7:30 Tango - Level I / 8:30 Tango - Level II / 9:15 to 10:00 Open Dancing

January 16th and 23rd

7:30 Rumba - Level I / 8:30 Rumba - Level II / 9:15 to 10:00 Open Dancing

January 30th

7:30 Bolero - Level I / 8:30 Bolero - Level II / 9:15 to 10:00 Open Dancing

February 6th and 13th

7:30 Waltz - Level I / 8:30 Waltz - Level II / 9:15 to 10:00 Open Dancing

February 20th and 27th

7:30 Cha Cha - Level I / 8:30 Cha Cha - Level II / 9:15 to 10:00 Open Dancing

March 6th

7:30 Salsa - Level I / 8:30 Salsa - Level II / 9:15 to 10:00 Open Dancing

All Friday night group classes will start at basic levels and will be tailored to fit the abilities of students. Partners are not necessary. Those who do not have a partner will rotate during the lesson. Dress is casual. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Cost: $7 for one class or $10 for both classes (cost includes the open dancing after the lessons).

The Center is located at 1805 N. Central Ave. in Sebastian, Florida. Directions:  Turn east off of US Hwy 1 onto Jackson St. (there is a traffic light & entrance to Wal-Mart). Drive one block to N. Central Ave. and turn right. The Center is the blue building immediately on the right. Plenty of parking!

Private Lessons

Private lessons with Joe Wynes are available for individuals, couples and small groups (three to nine people). Private lessons are always booked in advance. Private lessons are held at the DanceSpace Dance Studio in Sebastian.

Cost: $45 for a one hour private session.

Special Groups

For groups of ten or more people. These are always booked in advance at prearranged times and locations.

Cost: $8 per person for a 90 minute group session. The minimum fee is $80.00.
